hello and welcome!
We offer peer support for people who are feeling affected by the environmental and global crises of our time, who long for relief, and want to find a way toward meaningful action. It’s common to feel alone when what we’re feeling isn’t talked about in every day life. If you are longing for connection and support, you’ve come to the right place!
Our mission is to co-create brave spaces where individuals can show up as they are without having to downplay their worry and concern for the planet. We are here to say that the grief is real, and that your feelings matter and make sense.
Here you can celebrate the wonder of aliveness while grieving the many ongoing losses. It’s a both/and/also space.
Being willing to look and see and be a witness to what’s happening takes courage and is not for the faint of heart. It is important work that cannot be done alone for very long.
We offer one-off events as well as a longer 10-week peer support program that covers a wide range of topics related to the climate crisis. All our events are experiential and provide opportunities for participants to express their feelings, learn grounding techniques, connect with others who share their concerns, and find meaningful ways to cope with climate-related anxiety.
about the facilitators
Hi! We’re Ruth and Ronnie. We met at a peer facilitation training program provided by Good Grief Network, creators of the world-renowned program 10 Steps to Empowerment and Resilience in a Chaotic Climate. We were so moved and inspired by what we learned and experienced that we started offering events and programs as well. We hope you will find them helpful!

Ruth Hartmann
FLOW Facilitator, Good Grief Network
Originally from Mexico, Ruth (she/her) appreciates the many different ways of being in the world. She is a passionate practitioner of Non-Violent Communication and enjoys co-creating welcoming spaces where collective trauma can be healed. Now living in Arizona, Ruth is privileged to get to see cottontail rabbits and road runners almost daily!

Ronnie Gelman
FLOW Facilitator, Good Grief Network
Ronnie (they/them) is a queer, nonbinary, Ashkenazi Jewish person living on unceded Tonkawa land, so-called Austin, TX. They are a griefworker, resilience mentor, and facilitator of emergent spaces that support our collective liberation. Ronnie loves reading and watching sci-fi, learning how to grow food, making sustainable crafts, and spending time with loved ones.
what our participants say
Being in circle with Ronnie is a calming and replenishing experience that I can never afford to miss. Their sensitivity, compassion and experience make them an exemplary facilitator. Their presentations are purposeful, relevant, fulfilling and cathartic, and I always look forward to sharing space with them. To pass up this opportunity is to miss out on nothing less than a transformative experience.
—Austin, Grief Circle Participant
Ruth is a heart-centered and pragmatic facilitator who walks the talk – she is inclusive, trauma-informed and connective. When I attended a 10-step meeting facilitated by Ruth, her grounded presence helped me become more present and aware of my body in the conversation. It was clear that she had taken the time to sit with the sometimes heavy topics she was holding space for, which invited me to be more vulnerable in my own participation. She also brings joy and light which is always appreciated. I am eager to attend future events with Ruth as my facilitator!
